Why do the lights go up in October if they don’t turn on until Thanksgiving?
Three reasons, and they all favor you:
- Weather. Installing on a dry, 55-degree October day is safer and more precise than a 28-degree November day with wind off the lake. Better conditions, better install.
- Your date is protected. Product on the roofline in October means no weather delay can push your display past Thanksgiving.
- They stay off until you say so. Lights are installed dark and turned on for your chosen date. Nobody’s home looks like Christmas on October 15th.

November: The Last Reliable Window
